A Reddit thread, comment or entire account can rank on the first page of Google for your name or your business long after you’ve moved on from it, and Reddit’s own deletion tools do not always remove content the way people expect. This is especially true for defamation, leaked personal data, or content that was already ruled against in a previous case.
For an entire account that is impersonating you or was created to harass you, Reddit’s impersonation and harassment policies allow for full account removal rather than just individual posts, which stops new content from being added while the takedown is processed.
Once a thread or account is actually removed from Reddit rather than just downvoted or locked, it stops showing up in Google, Bing and AI search tools as their indexes refresh.
